about
Recorded with my brother Mike and friends at Mikes house in Perth , WA. This started off originally as a raucous live recording but has been refined since. The man behind the steel drum riff and idea is Louis Inglis. He also smashed them and the drums for this song. While we were recording I thought it would be cool to get someone to sing the bridge instead of me. Mikes roomies Chiara and Cezary came out and did the parts. I loved it so they stayed.
lyrics
Where will you go, when you know, bout this emotional disease?
To the sea , or the country with this emotional disease?
Way up the river and you finally moving away from me
Way up the river with a house and a kid and an emotional disease
And i'm falling asleep , dreaming of hell and slipping away
And I can't believe , i'm a moron for thinking you would stick by me
In the dream , i'm driving in this emotional disease
In the truck , no lights on , in this emotional disease
The waves are crashing down on me like a drum pushing the skin
In the morning I wake , dreading everything , emotional disease
I'm high all day and drunk all night and scaired of everything
And I can't believe I'm so crazy I would need it just to sleep
And the sirens are wailing in the distance , down the line
And I just prey that they stop at my number 59
